TRAINING DIVISION
The Training Division is responsible for developing and providing advanced continuing education to the Round Rock Fire Department. It is our goal to provide the latest education and training in both knowledge and skills. We seek to enhance our personnel’s leadership abilities and promote a solid ethical foundation to our workforce. To that end, we host various offerings throughout the year. Fire Training
The development, delivery and coordination of ongoing training and the learning of new skills and industry practices is a year-around endeavor managed by designated staff within the Training Division. Â
EMS Training
Medical first response to include basic and advanced life support requires constant practice and staying up to date on medical practices. A designated staff ensures our EMTs and Paramedics are well educated and trained, and our department stays in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Professional Development
Planning for the future of individual personnel, as well as succession within our department, requires a dedication to professional development that is being met through a dedicated position within the Training Division. Education required for the next level in the organization, promotional prep, advanced learning and assisting with the pursuit of a college degree are all within the purview of this designated staff.
