Foster and Adoption Inspection

The Prevention Division has provided a Fire Marshal Foster/Adoption Checklist for individuals that are applying for and requiring an inspection for foster care, adoptive care, or group home setting within their home.

This easy and self-explanatory form will guide you through setting up your home in order to pass a required Fire Department inspection. Once this Evaluation Checklist has been completed, you should then download the permit application, located on the permit application fee page on this web-site and make payment for the inspection. Once application and payment are received at the Central Fire Station the Round Rock Fire Department Prevention Division will schedule your home inspection to be done within normally 48 hours.

Any questions regarding the Fire Safety Evaluation Checklist, how to obtain a permit application, where to pay the fee or how to schedule an appointment or any other questions, please call the Round Rock Fire Prevention Division at 512-218-6628.
