The City of Round Rock built the new library at 200 East Liberty Avenue. The new library is approximately 66,000 square feet with an adjacent parking garage. In November 2013, a majority of voters approved bonds to build a new main library, which opened in January 2023.

Round Rock Public Library is looking ahead and planning for the future growth of library services and facilities for the citizens of Round Rock.
The City of Round Rock developed a new four-story parking garage that is adjacent to the Library. The location of the parking garage is 210 East Liberty Avenue. The parking garage is free for visitors to use and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Visitors are welcome to park in the garage to visit the Library and other downtown locations. The parking garage allows visitors in downtown Round Rock to park in close proximity to the downtown area and within walking distance to the Library.
The City of Round Rock parking garage (located next to the Library) contains:
- One (1) elevator
- Two (2) entrances and exits
- Intersection of E. Liberty Avenue and N. Sheppard Street
- Intersection of E. Austin Avenue and N. Sheppard Street
- Four (4) levels of parking with 286 parking spaces [including multiple handicapped parking spots on the first level]
- Six (6) electric vehicle charging stations [located on the top floor of the parking garage]
