Program Proposals

Program Proposals

The library offers a wide variety of high-quality programs, events and classes for all ages.  Library staff members as well as community partners provide programs that enhance the collections, services, and mission of the Round Rock Public Library.

A limited number of programs provided by community members or organizations are added to spring, summer, or fall schedules.  Review the following guidelines for submission of a program proposal:

      • Library programs are free for participants and open to the public.

      • Programs are not used for religious or partisan purposes. Programs are not used primarily for the solicitation of business.

      • Program Proposal(s) must be submitted at least 3 months prior to the proposed date for the program.

      • For a recurring program series, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) may be requested.

      • Presenter may need to submit a volunteer application with background check.

      • Any sales or handouts distributed must be approved prior to the program.

Staff reviews submissions on a rolling basis, and if your program proposal fits our programming needs, we will contact you. Submission of the program proposal does not guarantee acceptance of the program. These factors are considered when making decisions:

        • Community needs and interests

        • Availability and suitability of physical space

        • Availability of staff to assist with planning and implementation of the program

        • Presenter qualifications, expertise, and experience

        • Budget

        • Connection to the Round Rock community.  Round Rock residents and organizations will receive priority.

        • Connection to the library’s mission as well as to other library initiatives or community events.

        • Duplication/redundancy of other current or upcoming library program offerings.

An alternative to the library hosting a program is to rent one of the library meeting rooms for private programs or events.
