Documents Needed for Library Card Applications
The following documentation is required when applying for a Round Rock Public Library card:
- A valid Texas issued ID with current address.
OR
- A valid government issued ID and printed official document with current Texas address. Examples of official documents to prove Texas residency are: lease, recent utility bill, insurance card, check from the bank etc.
To get a library card, apply in person at the library. Please review all of the Library’s policies for circulation, interlibrary loan, collection development, and computer usage policies.
Card Types
Single Cardholders:
For the probationary first 30 days, single resident cardholders may check out 5 items at a time. After that, permanent card holders in good standing with a valid Texas ID on file can check out 15 at once.
Family Cardholders:
For the probationary first 30 days, family resident cardholders may check out 15 items at a time. After that, permanent card holders in good standing with a valid Texas ID on file can check out 45 at once.
TexShare is a statewide program that helps libraries and their patrons share resources.
Permanent library cardholders in good standing with a valid Texas ID on file can request a TexShare card free of charge from Round Rock Public Library.
Take your Round Rock Public Library TexShare card to any other TexShare library, and you can register as a member of that library without paying out-of-district fees.
