Round Rock Public Library is a proud member of the national network of Family Place Libraries. Family Place Libraries support early literacy and learning in a variety of ways, including:
- a dedicated play area in the library
- easily accessible parenting resources
- free parent-child workshops
The Family Place area provides a space where parents/caregivers and their child(ren) can play together with toys provided. This area also features a parenting collection and brochures from local family support agencies.
Parent/child workshops are held twice a year, in the spring and fall. Over the course of each five-week workshop series, parents/caregivers and children ages 1-3 can spend time playing together and connecting with other families. Plus, they’ll get an opportunity to talk one-on-one with a child development specialist such as a speech-language pathologist, nutritionist, etc. Please check the library calendar for exact dates and times.

This project is made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act. (2016)
